I read a study where they found that if you're lactose intolerant, you do a lot better on a low-dairy diet than a no-dairy diet. I've certainly found that holds for me - I cut my intake by a lot, but not completely, and my IBS is a lot better. And I still have pizza now and then, or cream or cheese. Just not every day. I know when I've had too much of it - all the symptoms start coming back.

Although, I also started taking regular acidophilus at the same time - that might have made a difference too.
